Installation Guide
Installing your Crawford Fuel Saver
Installing the Crawford Fuel Saver on your vehicle is quick and simple—usually under 5 minutes—and typically only requires a Phillips screwdriver. Below is a video demonstration and a step-by-step written guide.
1. Locate the MAF Sensor
Find the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor in the housing or tube near your air cleaner.
2. Remove the MAF Sensor
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two small screws securing the MAF sensor to the housing. Lift the sensor out; if the wire harness is too short, unplug it first.
3. Install the Fuel Saver
Place the supplied O-ring in the bottom groove of the Fuel Saver. Position the Fuel Saver on top of the housing, ensuring the O-ring stays in place (check visually or with your finger to make sure it’s not protruding inside).
4. Secure the Fuel Saver
Select the correct longer screws provided, matching them to the style of screws you removed by comparing threads. Insert the screws through the MAF sensor and Fuel Saver, then screw into the housing. Tighten carefully and evenly—do not over-tighten, as the housing is plastic, and avoid pinching the O-ring.
5. Reconnect the Electrical Connector
Plug the MAF sensor back in if you had disconnected it in step 2.
6. Finish Up
Close your hood and enjoy improved fuel efficiency, enhanced performance, and reduced emissions!
